Application for Trading at the Carnival 2023

This application is for trading on 

Saturday the 10^th of August & Sunday the 11^th of August 2024 At the Carnival 2024 in Alexandra Park, Manchester.

Process for applying for the right to trade.

1. Complete this application form. The closing date for submission of applications is May 3rd 2024 at 4 pm. You should submit this form and the  additional documentation as stipulated in the ‘Supporting Documents’ section  by emailing to Stalls.manchestercarnival@outlook.com

2. Traders will be notified if they are successful or unsuccessful  Via email as soon as their application has been processed. 

3. Successful traders will be required to make payment in full by  Friday the 7th of June 2024.

4. There are no trading opportunities external to the Alexandra Park boundary.

5. 15% discount will only be available to traders who submit the application form, all documents and payment by the 31^st of March 2024.

For your application to be valid you must:

∙ complete all relevant sections within the form

∙ be eligible to work in the UK and provide documents to support this

∙ have valid public liability insurance for a minimum of £5 million covering you /  your business for trading on both days and provide evidence of this

∙ If you intend to sell food, you must be registered as a food trader with a local  authority and provide evidence of this

∙ Only valid applications will be considered

*Only successful applicants will be able to trade at the Manchester Carnival Traders will not be allowed to trade if they arrive on the day without prior approved permission via this process*.

This Application Form should be completed as follows.

Section 1 Trader Information – All traders are to complete all boxes (1a & 1b)  Section 2 Food and Drink – Only food and drink traders to complete all boxes  Section 3 Trading Space – All traders are to complete all boxes

Section 4 Trading History – All traders are to complete all boxes

Section 5 Confirmation Statement – All traders are to sign and date. A 15% Early bird discount will be available for everyone who submits their  application, documents and payment by 31^st of March 2024

Electrical equipment: how will power be provided?

Petrol generators will not be permitted Traders will need to provide their own DIESEL generators.

Section 3 - Trading Space

All applicants are to complete this section. This section provides information about the type of trading space you require. Successful applicants will be provided with a trading space only. You must provide your own trading equipment. The size of one trading space is 46m x 46m and this includes your area for food prepping. Any additional areas will be classed as another trading space and incur additional costs.

Food and drink (no alcohol) No. trading spaces required (at £600 for 2 days) All other small goods and community services (at £200 for 2 days) Ice-cream Vans & food vans (£750 for 2 days) The size of one trading space for food vans is 6m x 6m and this includes your area for food prepping. Any additional areas will be classed as another trading space and incur additional costs .
