This Year’s Carnival Theme

The carnival theme the year is calypso fever

The carnival theme the year is calypso fever. Over the weekend of the 8th & 9th of august 2015 the city of Manchester will brim with the sounds, sights and smells of the Eastern Caribbean as the carnival returns to it’s spiritual home of Alexandra Park, Manchester.

Enjoy the infectious rhythms of song and dance as the carnival procession of floats winds its way through the crowds with steel bands, DJ’s, dance troupes, carnival queens and princesses. The elaborate costumes and folklore characters alone are a sight to behold.

The Manchester Carnival highlights will include the carnival parade with over 45 troupes, a main stage featuring the best of calypso, SOCA and reggae music, mouth-watering caribbean food and much more.

New For Kids 2015

2015 Preparations Underway

This year’s Caribbean Carnival Manchester is returning to it’s spiritual home of Alexandra Park, Manchester on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th of August 2015.

Preparations are well underway for Carnival 2015. There’s new entertainment for kids with bouncy castles and slides as well as all the usual entertainment such as the carnival parade with over 45 troupes, our long list of mass bands, a main stage featuring the best of calypso, SOCA and reggae music, mouth watering Caribbean food and much more.

Enjoy the infectious rhythms of song and dance as the carnival procession of floats winds its way through the crowds with steel bands, DJ’s, dance troupes, carnival queens and princesses. The elaborate costumes and folklore characters alone are a sight to behold.
